During her visit to Flo’s office, Dr. Kanem highly appreciated the results of Flo's work in the field of women's health and noted the company’s enormous contributions to delivering evidence-based information to women all over the world.
On her Twitter account, Dr. Kanem said about her agency’s partnership with Flo, “Our successful collaboration underscores the power of partnerships with the private sector in reaching women & girls with sexual & reproductive health information”.
Flo and representatives of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) signed a Cooperation Agreement in 2017.
The agreement encompasses joint efforts in the following areas:
- Creating content related to reproductive health, contraception, breast and cervical cancer
- Collaborating and supporting global and local campaigns
- Conducting joint research on sexual reproductive health and gender issues.
Since that time, Flo and UNFPA have created numerous posts, publications, and articles that were read by over 3.5 million users.
“It is a great honor for Flo, and for me personally, to host at our office our long-standing partners, — the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, led by its Executive Director, Dr. Natalia Kanem, and UN Under-Secretary-General,” said Dmitry Gurski, CEO and co-founder of Flo Health.
“Our partnership with UNFPA is a part of Flo’s strategy to provide women with trustworthy and evidence-based content about health and general well-being. We believe that every woman in the world deserves to have a personal health coach that can channel the knowledge of the best experts to provide her with the information she needs when she needs it”.
UNFPA is the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency with the mission to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled.
