Content Review Principles

Every piece of content created for users of the Flo app and Flo Health website is reviewed by at least one medical advisor, at least one legal advisor, an editor, and a proofreader.

We do not tolerate plagiarism or boilerplating from our content contributors.

When creating content, we follow the AP Stylebook, Merriam-Webster, and our in-house style guide so that we can deliver content that’s positive, actionable, and clear, and places you, the reader, as the authority on your own experience.

Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of every girl and woman worldwide, so we pay special attention to the sources and references we use. The priority is given to peer-reviewed articles in databases with respected reputations, as well as books and .gov and .edu domains.

Our team of experts consists of 50+ Medical Board members and a team of thoroughly vetted in-house MDs. From OB-GYNs to certified nutritionists, our health and lifestyle experts are able to effectively cover the wide variety of topics our users are interested in.

To keep you as informed as possible, we’re constantly monitoring for changes in medical standards as well as new scientific discoveries to update our content when new information becomes available.
