As technology evolves, we’re using it to create smarter, more meaningful experiences—helping you understand your body better with personalised insights, trusted information, and guidance when you need it.

But progress means little without trust. You should feel confident in the technology and in how we use it. We keep you at the centre of everything we do, and innovation will never come at the expense of your privacy, safety, or wellbeing.

The AI features we build reflects that. Our approach is guided by four clear principles:

Transparency: We'll be clear when AI is involved, what data it uses, and how it shapes your experience.

Privacy: You are in control of your data. We collect only what's necessary, protect it with robust safeguards, and make it easy for you to update or delete your information at any time. And we will never use your personal data to train third-party AI models.

Safety: Our AI is designed to support—not replace—trusted health guidance, with safeguards to reduce the risk of harm or misuse, while our in-house medical and science team and Medical Advisory Board play a central role in shaping and reviewing the health content and information available in the app. It does not provide medical advice.

Accuracy: We prioritise reliable, evidence-based information and continuously improve our systems to keep them relevant and trustworthy.

Privacy at Flo is the foundation of everything we build, not just policy. As the first and only period tracking app to hold dual ISO certifications in information security and privacy management, we've had our practices independently verified against the highest global standards. That same certified foundation governs what we build with AI, because responsible innovation and privacy aren't separate commitments.
